Jointly produced Saif Ali Khan, Dinesh Vijan and Sunil Lulla under the banner of Eros International, Maddock Films and Illuminati Films, it is the debut directorial venture of Arif Ali, who was the assistant writer of the film Aahista Aahista, written his brother Imtiaz Ali. The film has music scored A. R. Rahman. The film was released on 4 July 2014
